How do I communicate my weathering requirements for a quote? Please make initial contact on the Contact page. I'll reply to your e-mail and you may then send sample photos for a quote. You may also send a work order from the home page.
What about shipping? Clients pay for shipping and insurance (at $2 per $100 of insurance when available from the shipper).
How long does it take? It varies subject to workload. It can take 2 to 4 weeks depending on current workload and waiting list but often it's much quicker than that. It all depends on the current workload. Don't worry...I'll make it worth the wait!
Can you "fix" a weathering that I don't like anymore? Maybe....just maybe. I'll need some information about top coatings products used. There will be upcharge for this service.
How do I prepare my model? Make sure it's clean and in good running order. Attach all major parts. If I have to build it up you have an upcharge; remember...time is money. If it doesn't run I can't paint the wheels. You do want the wheels painted ...don't you? If your model has DCC I'll need to know if it's in a consist or what the unit's address is so I can paint and clean the wheels.
How do I handle the completed models? I recommend you lift them with 2 hands. Don't worry about the weathering; it's all sealed with polyurethane. It won't rub off with typical handling. I paint the wheels too!
Do you weather US roads? Absolutely.
Do you weather freight cars? Absolutely. See the Rates page.
Do you weather all scales?
Sure do! My pricing listed is for HO and N scale. Larger scales quoted on request.
Do you fade paint? Yes...fade, chip...you name it!
How do I pay?
I am a "Verified by PayPal" service provider; I also accept eTransfer (Canadian banks only), Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express using the Square App. (Please note: a 3% convenience fee is added to all Credit Card orders).
PLEASE NOTE THAT MODELS DO NOT SHIP UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED IN FULL AND FUNDS HAVE BEEN DEPOSITED TO MY BANK ACCOUNT.
